There such an incredible response to the 20 Things to Give up for Lent Article that I created a 40 day Lenten Devotional called “40 Things to Give up for Lent and Beyond.” It is now available as a book that you can purhase on Amazon.
If you would like to receive Daily Devotions from me, make sure to sign up for my mailing list.
I can mail a check just send me a address
it is at the bottom of this page
Too bad it’s not free. Would have like to read them
That is the business of “religion”. Sad state of affairs isn’t it,
Really? Nothing is free! Someone has to pay for it! This takes money to create! Smh
It seems to be free after all! I think the “donate” button is just mislabeled.
Pretty sure it’s free!!! Blew that nasty comment out if the water!
It says a “suggested” donation – not a required payment. All organization ask this. Why, I ordered a bridesmaid’s gown last night, and I got hit with a prompt to donate to the wounded warrior foundation, and guess what? I gave the buck. Just be thankful someone is providing food for life. A $3 donation should be well worth it.
It is free.
It is free…continue reading…the donation is a donation. It’s optional.
If you send me an address I will send a donation. I can afford to send three dollars to be fed spiritually thru lent. It is all a matter of priorities. My spiritual growth is important to me.
I think you are all confused. THIS IS FREE. I just filled in my name and email address. The comment says “WHILE WE ARE MAKING THIS RESOURCE FREE DURING THE SEASON OF LENT”, please consider making a donation.
If it is unsecure and just a test site, how do I send the fee?
I have your address and will send a check. Gretchen Kuck
will send a check to the church for devotion. Thank you.
I don’t give my credit card number out to people that I don’t know…. Sad to say this doesn’t look good….. So disappointing.
Thank you for including your address at the bottom of this site. My check is in the mail. I don’t pay on-line.
I would like to pay the fee, to whom and to what address do I send the check to?
isn’t it stated that the devotional free? I submitted and it said thanks for my donation.
I would like to know how I donated something when all I submitted was an email address and my name. Also, why does it say it is free if it isn’t?
Thanks! Donations are purely optional and is your choice…just as it is your choice to receive the daily devotional or to decide not to when you think you may have to pay for it. Just a thought…
People it is free…they shouldn’t have used the word donate.
Sorry about the confusion everyone. We are rushing to get his all set up. We originally had it set up so that the only way you could get it was to make a donation. We changed it so that it is now free to sign up, but we are asking that you might consider making a donation. The extra traffic we have been getting is killing our website. If you made a donation before we set the free option and would like a refund, send an email and we will take care of it. Again sorry for the confusion. Pray for our effort as we work to pull this together. God is good!
All the time!
This is wonderful! Thank you!
Deep breaths people… Don’t sweat the small stuff, and it’s all small stuff π
You might consider a Paypal account for donations. Generally, people (including myself) like it better than giving out a credit card number.
Good idea!
Please leaves address on my email
The address is at the bottom of this page
I’m sorry this is not free, I understand your need for funding and fundraising but I do not live in the US and have no access to US funds at the time, I’m sorry I’m gonna miss out on this…
Thank you!
This is AWESOME! Thank you SO much!! Only wish you had a “like” button on the comments!!!!!!
OldBridge! I grew up in Middletown!!
Check is in the mail.
GOD IS AWESOME!!
I’ll mail you a check. Money we’ll spent.
This is just what I needed today! LOVE it!
I’ll be happy to send a donation…Thank you!!
I signed up on Wed. and have not received anything in my e-mail…how long does it take to get the daily emails?
Karen- sometimes emails sent out in bulk are flagged as spam. Check the spam filter in your email to make sure it has not gone there. Also make sure you confirmed your subscription. When you signed up you should have received a follow up email asking if you want to receive these emails. That prevents someone signing up your email without your permission. Did you receive the confirmation email? Finally, you might try subscribing again. If you are already subscribed you will get a notification you are already subscribed. If you don’t get the notification, then for some reason your subscription didn’t go through.
I would like to subscribe to it and will mail a check.
This site is free, folk. OPEN YOUR EYES AND READ. Don’t just skim and see what you want to see. Furthermore, why do people think that everything regarding religion should be free. There is always a price and a responsibility to pay for everything in our lives, otherwise it is not worth anything. If you are a Jew or a Christian and you read Holy Scripture, it is very clear that money is a main part of worship, a main part of running the “enterprise” so to speak. GET OVER IT. 3 dollars, please. This is a business. Business takes money, if you don’t know that, where in the world do you live. By the way, the donation area of this site is SECURE. I live and work in Charlotte, NC. I don’t know of any thing here that is free, there is always a cost, may not be money, could be time, talent, knowledge … whatever, there is a cost.
I have signed up twice….all I get are the comments…..where are the devotionals?
Hi Pam- I am not sure what happened, but it sounds like you signed up to receive comments to this post on our website rather than the email distribution list.
You can sign up to receive the emails here: http://gs4nj.us5.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=6185a319045826c409817edf7&id=c3576a89f4
It would be more convenient if they offered payment through PayPal.
I signed up, and am enjoying the devotionals, but the first one I got was day 3. Is there a 1 and 2?
I LOVE THIS……………..thank you for reaching out to all people, my husband and I are reading these together π
