Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. Matthew 28:1, ESV
Before light had dawned, the women went to the tomb. They expected to find the dead body of Jesus. The darkness was overwhelming. There were sorrow and tears. Death had won. Hope was lost.
Maybe you can relate to the women as they walked this dark path. Maybe you feel hopeless at this moment. You don’t see a future. You wonder where God is. They cannot see anything good.
These women could not have imagined what was about to happen. The sunrise would bring about the Sonrise! It’s always the darkest just before the dawn.
Here is what you need to know: Today is a new day. Today is not yesterday. God is up to something. You just never know. He’s got a plan that is more than you could ever imagine. Easter is for you!
You may be at your lowest. You may think it’s your greatest defeat. But all that means is the greater God’s victory will be. Light is dawning. There is a resurrection coming your way!
