It is important to have a positive mindset. It is not to turn a blind eye to real problems. It is not to believe that if you think enough good thoughts that your problems will disappear. The power of positivity is to believe that you can overcome with God’s help. The power of positivity is to know that God is bigger than your problems.
We have all heard about self-fulfilling prophecies. If you believe you can’t, you won’t. If you believe you can, you will. Belief leads to action and action leads to results. When you are positive, you will do what needs to be done because you believe it is worth it. When you are filled with negativity, you will not give your all because you don’t believe it is worth it.
Attitude is not everything. But attitude is a big thing. Depending on your attitude, you may have won or lost the battle before it has even begun.
There is a law of attraction. If you are negative you will tend to attract negativity. If you are positive you will tend to attract positivity. If you tend to find yourself surrounded by negativity, ask yourself if it is a consequence of your own negativity.
Some ways to put positivity into practice is to believe the best in 1) others, 2) yourself, 3) God.
Believe the best in others. We tend to assume the worst. The worst motivations. The worst intentions. But put the best construction on other people’s actions. Give them the benefit of the doubt. Look to find ways to compliment them. Build them up rather than tear them down. The more positive you are with others, the more you will find yourself surrounded by other positive people. It is the law of attraction.
Believe the best in yourself. You might have messed up. You might have stumbled. But with a little persistence and help, you can turn it around. Consider ways in which you can affirm yourself. Believe in God. But believe in yourself too!
Believe the best in God. God is good. He knows what he is doing. He’s got your back. He is on your side. He is almighty and there is no greater power in the world. Things may seem difficult right now, but believe the best is yet to come because God is in control.
