Happy New Year! This will be the last post for 2015. We will be back again next week. Until then I wanted to wish you a very blessed end of the year.
Thank you for being part of the Greater Things community. When I started writing a weekly devotion in our church’s weekly email a few years back, I never imagined how far it would reach. I counted a privilege and an honor to have you as a reader wherever you may be reading this.
If you would like to join me in reading through the Bible in 2016, I have compiled a Daily Bible Reading Plan. This reading plan has three readings each day. There are two readings from the Old Testament and one reading from the New Testament. The plan does not have assigned reading for Sundays. The idea is that this day is used for worship or catching up if you fall behind. If you participate in his plan, you will read through the entire Bible over the course of the year.
If you have tried to read the Bible in the past and failed, I wrote an article last year that has some ideas to help. Feel free to check it out. I believe there is nothing more important to growing in our relationship with God than spending time with him in his Word. It is not as important what plan you use. It is not important if you complete the Bible in a year. What is important is spending time with the Lord each day.

I am excited to do this since I have been meaning to do it for a long time.
Will you continue the Greater Things Today daily readings as well? I hope so.
Thank you for all your insights and inspiration during the last year.
Wishing you and your family many new blessings in 2016.

Pastor Phil,
Thank you for all of the helpful articles you have written over the past year. I have found them to be very encouraging to me in my walk with the Father.
I will do the daily Bible reading you have suggested, and with God’s help, I can complete it this year. Blessings to you, your family, and church in 2016!
