“For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2, ESV)
How do you greet the day? Do you say, “Good Morning Lord!”? Or do you say, “Good Lord, it’s morning.”?
Here is a challenge for you. When you wake up, say: “Today is a new start. God is making a new beginning in my life.”
Know that yesterday is not today. The past is behind you. God is up to something new.
Many of us feel as if we are stuck. We feel as if nothing is going to change. Much of our anxiety in life comes from the limiting belief that we will never enter another season of life. But the reality is that we are always moving from one season to another. You will not remain where you are forever.
You may not believe it in your heart. But speak it and say it anyway. Words have power, especially when they are God’s Word of truth. Declare it. Allow the Word to change your thoughts and attitude.
Now (not tomorrow) is God’s favorable time. Now (not some time in the future) is the day of salvation.
Reflection
- How do you greet the morning?
- How can you greet the morning in a more godly way?
Prayer
Lord, thank you for making a difference in my life. Thank you for this new day. Thank you for the new start that you are working in my life. Give me faith to know that you are on the move and that you will move me to greater things. Amen.
